Boxing vs. boxing as porn
Boxing is a competitive sport in which two challengers face-off and apply a number of permitted fighting skills within specific rules and guidelines. A fair contest between boxers is sought, although there are far too many factors to consider which can affect the outcome of a bout. But in boxing as porn it appears the more there is a mismatch or contrast between opponents, the more heightened the erotic experience. Power weighs highly in the formula and a dab of contrast heightens the experience even more. Take for example a bout between:
- Male vs. male
- Female vs. female
- Male vs. female: sex contrast and upended power conquest
- GLBTQ vs. ‘straight’

Walker and Langarica competed in the bantamweight championship. In the first round she slammed him to the mat and straddled him, clamping on a chokehold. Langarica thrashed and kicked, finally escaping. The crowd roared for more.

You can see the instructor tactically taught the male boxer to aim for her abdomen, one big weakness of female opponents since they are less protective than men’s due to lower percentage of muscle mass. Then started the male boxer’s execution of liver punches, until the was was severely exhausted by her abdomen punches, and eventually the bout was stopped by the referee. An example whey mixed boxing matches are inherently unequal.
But again, mixed boxing bouts are inherently an unfair competition.

He obviously controlled his power, yet he hit the woman every time with his jabs cornering her, followed by heavier shots to her unprotected abdomen. Skill and physical build are the main reason why male/female matchups are problematic.

Boxing Gear
The gear plays an important part for some. Sometimes it is not the bout scenario as much as the gear which pushes one’s hot button. Leather is still the predominate material for boxing gloves, boots, head guard, and the foul cup because of its durability. It fits well as there is a leather world within the sex world. The boxing uniform parts are transformed from their primary purpose in boxing to a heightened factor in sex.
But I am not naive to know that many “get-off” on the sport, and I found a few sexual partners got really worked-up when they learned I boxed.

Boxing’s other meaning
The word boxing has other connotations outside of the sport. Boxing, when used in a sexual context, also refers to fucking, in particular anal-fucking, without regard to sexual orientation. I could not find when the word was adopted to include this sexual act. So using the word in a boxing context is important. For example:
- Boxing: I went to my boxing class and worked-up a real sweat today
- In a sexual context: “Box it hard,” dialogue from a porn video.
Many dream of a day when men and women will have the same physical abilities to be equal opponents in the ring. The day when the fantasy of mixed boxing becomes a reality. But for now it is one major centerpiece of sex and boxing fantasies where women dominate or knockout their male opponents.

Grandstanding
Sometimes there is and other times there is no need for any boxing activity. For many the gear is enough. For some it is the ‘pretend’ aspect of a bout which provides a form of aggressive sexual foreplay. For others there is a boxing-like give and take- either full contact (including the head) or body only. And there is always the specialized gut punching- gloved fist punches to the abdomen which can range from friendly competition with set rules to the point of orgasm. For some punching gets the engines going regardless of the context, whether inside or outside the ropes.
I do not stand in judgement of those who appropriate boxing within their sexual appetite.

Not intending to be a fantasy
Patricio Manuel made his professional debut on a Golden Boy Promotions event on December 8, 2018 in Indio, California, scoring a four-round unanimous decision victory over journeyman Hugo Aguilar (1 win, 1 KO; 8 loss, 2 KO) with all three judges scoring the bout 39–37. Aguilar only knew of Manuel’s transition two days prior to the bout. He stated “For me it’s very respectable… It doesn’t change anything for me. In the ring he wants to win and I want to win too.” After all for a journeyman like Aguilar it is a job for which he does well and is paid well.

UFC-fighter Germaine de Randamie “knocks out” Tom Waes.
This fight was for the Belgium TV program ‘Tomtesterom’ (2007) where presenter (Waes, 48-years-old) takes on different type of challenge each week. For this episode he trained to become a boxer. At the end of the show he had a bout against Germaine (23-years-old). There was obviously more to this escapade than what it was billed to be, but one cannot but ask, Is this boxing?
She pins her male opponent against the ropes alternating between left and right hooks until he is bruised and bloodied. Then she finishes him off with a knockout punch. “A fight against me is not over until he bruised, bloodied, and knocked out!”

Personal Observations
Consensual sexual activity occurs along a wide spectrum. Virtually anything can be employed to make it a satisfying experience. I do not stand in judgement of those who appropriate boxing within their sexual appetite. It is well-known that there is a sexual factor which makes a boxing match of interest to spectators (outside the ropes) and boxers (inside the ropes) (see my blog posts Inside the ropes: Sexual arousal during a boxing bout. and Outside the ropes: sexual arousal during a boxing bout). Maybe it’s because I began boxing at a young age (10-years-old), but I never thought of it in a sexual manner. But I am not naïve to know that many “get-off” on the sport, and I found a few sexual partners got really worked-up when they learned I boxed. I feel that as long as no one is physically hurt in the process there is no harm.
